Often times, when after a church activities (particularly Chinese churches), members love to arrange rides for those who aren't driving that day.<\/p>\n
\nVery enthusiastic, I must say. One is certainly doing the other a favor when one offers the ride.\n<\/p>\n
\nNonetheless, when the offer is turned down, one must be quick to judge whether to insist on such offer or not. This is rather similar to the situation when Chinese fight over who's going to pay the bill after a dinner party. There's certain courtesy that's just unnecessary and perhaps even wrong.\n<\/p>\n
\nIf after prolong insistence, one gave in to accept the ride, now, the role has turned. It is no longer the one who offers the ride that's showing favor, but it is the one that eventually accepts the offer after some refusals, who's doing the one who offers the ride a favor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
