After doing my eyes checked at Rt. 35's COSTCO for new pair of glasses last week, I scanned the detail:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-875-100+85<br>-850-075+95<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both + 100<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I'm doing progressive lenses, with transition lenses ($40) for a total of $195. In addition to the frame that we picked (around $$75)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zennioptical.com\/how-to-read-my-eye-prescription\" target=\"_blank\">online source<\/a>, this is how I would read it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O.D. = Oculus Dexter (Right eye): Sphere = -8.75, Cylinder = -1.00, Axis = 85, NV (Near Vision\/reading) = +100<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O.S. = Oculus Sinister (Left eye): Sphere = -8.50, Cylinder = -0.75, Axis = 95, NV (Near Vision\/reading) = +100<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For terms like Axis, etc. it's easy to look it up or please click <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zennioptical.com\/c\/faq?gclid=Cj0KCQiAnsqdBhCGARIsAAyjYjTL1L_kUv51adQQeFJX4FXwZ9KmhyItbSRPBP9jcxsoP46ujQf09RoaAlXnEALw_wcB&amp;gclsrc=aw.ds#prescriptions-faq?top=prescriptions-abbreviations\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Optometrists love to write in short hand.
