{"id":13351,"date":"2023-01-17T01:19:34","date_gmt":"2023-01-17T05:19:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nycphantom.com\/journal\/?p=13351"},"modified":"2023-03-30T12:18:10","modified_gmt":"2023-03-30T16:18:10","slug":"christianity-in-chinese-characters-words","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/nycphantom.com\/journal\/?p=13351","title":{"rendered":"Christianity in Chinese Characters\/Words God in Ancient China (nonsense)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I've done it before in brief (against \u9060\u5fd7\u660e's ministry nonsense on this matter) but after coming across <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bienaole.com\/archives\/1144\" target=\"_blank\">this<\/a> (someone did a good job in debunking some of the falsehood in this, I wish there are more of such), I shall thoroughly expose this falsehood \u4e2d\u570b\u57fa\u7763\u5f92\u8352\u8b2c\u7684\u62c6\u5b57\u50b3\u6559\u904a\u6232\u3002The earliest known work on this is by C.H.\u5eb7\uff08Kang\uff09\u548c\u57c3\u585e\u5c14\u00b7\u5c3c\u5c14\u68ee\uff08Ethel Nelson\uff09in 1979 work: The Discovery of Genesis: How the Truths of Genesis Were Found Hidden in the Chinese Language. Nelson's other book being \"God's Promise To The Chinese\". Sometimes the claims though cannot be sourced, but the truth behind them is remarkably mysterious and so we must tread carefully with this kind of allegorical method to not make truth what is not certain, even though it is interesting to point them out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"God in Ancient China\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/DA-AkJzpKmg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And here are the research critiquing\/debunking (most of my contrasting sources would be <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zdic.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u8bf4\u6587<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/zi.tools\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u5b57<\/a>, and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/app.gumble.pw\/wenyan\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u6587\u8a00\u6587\u7ffb\u767d\u8bdd<\/a>) but in a fair manner, the above 2009 video by the famous Singaporean Charismatic preacher <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kong_Hee\" target=\"_blank\">Kong Hee \u5eb7\u5e0c<\/a> whose father named him after the famous \"Christian\" emperor \u5eb7\u7199 (name was not exact to avoid being laughing stock):<br>(PS: I just learned that the clip above may have been a redacted version and hence unfortunately the basis of my notes below. There's also a part two dealing not with characters but with Chinese history in astronomy, etc. I will not deal with this <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1kkxUyMAMXQ\" target=\"_blank\">part 2 version<\/a> (or a fuller single version of both parts <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=VS-sKQwB-fc\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>) here but may look into it in some future, hence I'll leave this in Project category.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The point of this methodology is usually in reaction to Chinese thinking that Christianity is a white people religion, to prove that a false conception among Chinese. But is it true?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>@5:00 <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/zh.wikipedia.org\/zh-hans\/%E4%B8%8A%E5%B8%9D\" target=\"_blank\">\u4e0a\u5e1d<\/a> = Most High God. Allegedly the concept before Taoism (6th century B.C.) = \u81f3\u4e0a\u795e. So before 600 BC, monotheistic, after that, Taoism, Confucianism, Buddhism. Not bad, I don't know enough to dispute nor support that at the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>@7:34 \u53f8\u9a6c\u8fc1 (145BC)\u300a\u53f2\u8bb0\u300b\uff08\u537728\uff0c\u5c01\u7985\u4e66\u7b2c\u516d\uff09\uff1a\u4e0a\u5e1d\u8005\uff0c\u5929\u4e4b\u522b\u540d\u4e5f\u3002\u795e\u65e0\u4e8c\u4e3b\u3002Thus this shows that monotheism is not unique to the Hebrew culture. [If this is true, the fact that monotheism is of special revelation is debunked. Apparently <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/posts.careerengine.us\/p\/5cae390674d5ea3646217972\" target=\"_blank\">some had made used of Sima Qian's book<\/a> for more references to Christianity (i.e. Genesis comparison).]:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u4e8e\u6614\u6d2a\u8352\u4e4b\u521d\u516e\u3002\u6df7\u8499\u3002\u4e94\u884c\u672a\u8fd0\u516e\u3002\u4e24\u66dc\u672a\u660e\u3002\u5176\u4e2d\u633a\u7acb\u516e\u3002\u6709\u65e0\u5bb9\u58f0\u3002\u795e\u7687\u51fa\u5fa1\u516e\u3002\u59cb\u5224\u6d4a\u6e05\u3002\u7acb\u5929\u5730\u4eba\u516e\u3002\u7fa4\u7269\u751f\u751f\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u8bd1\u6587<\/strong>\uff1a\u592a\u521d\u65f6\u671f\uff0c\u4e00\u5207\u90fd\u662f\u6d2a\u5927\u800c\u8352\u829c\u554a\uff0c\u8499\u853d\u6df7\u6c8c\u7684\uff0c\u4e94\u884c\u8fd8\u672a\u8fd0\u884c\u554a\uff0c\u4e24\u5927\u661f\uff08\u592a\u9633\u548c\u6708\u4eae\uff09\u4e5f\u672a\u53d1\u5149\u3002\u5176\u4e2d\u6240\u633a\u7acb\u7684\u554a\uff0c\u65e0\u58f0\u65e0\u5f62\u3002\u4f46\u4f60\u8fd9\u5168\u80fd\u7684\u795e\u660e\uff0c\u5728\u4f60\u7684\u5927\u80fd\u4e2d\u51fa\u73b0\u554a\uff0c\u9996\u5148\u5c06\u6df7\u6d4a\u4e0e\u6e05\u6d01\u5206\u5f00\u3002\u4f60\u7acb\u5b9a\u4e86\u5730\uff0c\u521b\u9020\u4e86\u4eba\u554a\u3002\u7fa4\u751f\u4e07\u7269\u5f00\u59cb\u751f\u751f\u4e0d\u606f\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kong Hee's translation<\/strong>: <em>Of old in the beginning, there was the great chaos, without form and dark. The five planets had not begun to revolve, nor the two lights to shine. In the midst of it there existed neither form nor sound. You, O spiritual Sovereign, came forth in Your sovereignty, and first did separate the impure from the pure. You made heaven; You made earth; You made man. All things became alive with reproducing power.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So far I can find nothing to debunk that. I mean it's a possibility. Basically he claimed that \u5b54\u5b50\u7684\u4e94\u7d93 \u548c \u53f8\u99ac\u9077 \u7684 \u53f2\u8a18 recognized the worship of \u4e0a\u5e1d God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>@13:00 Chinese's writing predates Egyptian pyramids in 2500BC. This will show how the Chinese remembered not only Creation where Adam would possibly still be alive in Methuselah's time, but also the flood (especially if global), and the tower of Babel incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>@15:49 \"Create man in Our Image\" - \u9020 - decree (announce) then WALK. I think it's fine to connect it to decree and arrival, but it's a stretch to go all the way to mean God spoke and living things began to move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>@16:43 \u798f Blessed. God together One with the a soul (one mouth) in the garden (\u7530). That is true prosperity in original Chinese culture. The allegory of the character's right (\u7550) is definitely a stretch for this comes from the concept of full, \u6ee1\u4e5f (\u7550 in \u7532\u9aa8\u6587 it's 6 squares \u516d\u5207 together, it's a stretch to connect this to the origin of \u7530), and not \"in unison with a soul in the garden of Eden\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>@18:45 Garden \u5712: God took \u571f and breathed \uff08\u53e3\uff09into two people, man \uff08\u4eba) and woman (\u304f). Another ridiculous stretch. \u8aac\u6587: \u6240\u4ee5\u6a39\u679c\u4e5f...the \"people\" is not man and woman, it's evolved from grass to \u8278. So closest meaning being western Buddhist structures that made of grass and clay together or could be in full human unison. So it's possible. But this is quite a common thing so it's simply too general to be seriously considered uniquely a \"Christian\" thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>@35:25 Confusion \u4e82\uff1a\u4e71 <strong>Now he's using simplified version<\/strong> <strong>instead<\/strong>. Dispel \u6563 = all \uff08\u5171\uff09 flesh \uff08\u8089\uff09 followed \uff08fu\uff09. <strong>\u6563\u300a\u6f22\u591a\u300b\uff1a<\/strong>\u7532\u9aa8\u6587\u5f9e\u300c\u6797\u300d\u5f9e\u300c\u6534\u300d\uff0c\u88d8\u932b\u572d\u8a8d\u70ba\u7532\u9aa8\u6587\u300c\u6797\u6535-\u7684\u4e8c\u5b57\u5408\u62fc\u4e00\u5b57\u300d\u662f\u300c\u6563\u300d\u7684\u521d\u6587\uff0c\u672c\u7fa9\u662f\u829f\u6bba\u3001\u6e05\u9664\u8349\u6728.
