{"id":17013,"date":"2024-09-17T13:36:41","date_gmt":"2024-09-17T17:36:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nycphantom.com\/journal\/?p=17013"},"modified":"2024-09-17T13:39:49","modified_gmt":"2024-09-17T17:39:49","slug":"quick-thought-on-creationism-in-evangelism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/nycphantom.com\/journal\/?p=17013","title":{"rendered":"Quick thought on Creationism in Evangelism"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I used to \"play nice\" and call for a deeper look into science fairly, showing <strong>first <\/strong>how Evolutionism is not science and mere pseudoscience, and <strong>then <\/strong>I will related to how Young Earth Creationists are wrong in their argument, though as to the exact age of the Universe\/Earth, nobody knows for sure, even if the YEC's number is correct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nevertheless, after much talk with Christians hellbent on YEC position since a couple of years ago when our church pastor led a series on Creation, I believe I should no longer play nice as I used to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Should someone ask while I'm doing evangelism, how YEC is not compatible with science specifically in the context of evolution, this is the format and prioritization of my response:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>First<\/strong>, the <strong>YEC folks are usually not very smart folks<\/strong> because they argue <strong>foolishly <\/strong>for their position not according to the core truth of the Scripture, making guesses based on their bias or twisted interpretation of the Scripture, <strong>conflating their <\/strong>interpretation <strong>with <\/strong>what <strong>God <\/strong>says. But that's alright, it's <strong>not required by God to show one is smart<\/strong>, <strong>but <\/strong>it's required by God to be <strong>humble<\/strong>.
