An OPC minister (PCA spy - his words) who was converted from prison (due to violent crime, gang, theft, etc.), who is now the Executive Director of the <strong>PCA's <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.metanoiaprisonministries.org\/lowell-ivey\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.metanoiaprisonministries.org\/lowell-ivey\">Metanoia Prison Ministries<\/a>. <strong>Metanoia <\/strong>= Changing one's mind \/ Repentance. \u03bc\u03b5\u03c4\u03b1\u0301\u03bd\u03bf\u03b9\u03b1 (Strong: G3341)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus far, the only thing I would disagree with him is on the 2nd commandment, where he, like many OPC ministers, does not approve of the use of imageries to represent Jesus, i.e. no display of Jesus' in movies, paintings, etc. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegospelcoalition.org\/blogs\/justin-taylor\/arguments-for-and-against-images-of-the-incarnate-christ\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.thegospelcoalition.org\/blogs\/justin-taylor\/arguments-for-and-against-images-of-the-incarnate-christ\/\">John Frame<\/a> has already dealt (5 points in his <em>The Doctrine of the Christian Life<\/em>) against this so I need not bring it up here and it should be for another topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That was just a side comment at the start of the talk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note of interest. He was in prison for 17 years. Heard radio called Here Comes the Light, a gospel ministry station sponsored by Christians broadcasting at 60,000+ prisons in the vicinity in Texas, and converted (main theme was Jesus is here for you). Then was welcomed by an OPC pastor into his home, met his wife in another OPC church, switched from Dallas' Redeemer Seminary to Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary (SC) at the behest of \"RC Sproul of Brazil\", <a href=\"https:\/\/opc.org\/today.html?history_id=1474\">Paulo Anglada<\/a>, graduating 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Stories of God&#039;s Grace: Meet Lowell\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/38yMUYoX38w?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Fun fact: He was playing blind fold chess with other inmates while in solitude confinements.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Interesting testimony I came across on Presbycast.
