David Wilderson passed away"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\nFirst thought across my mind: Why was he in Texas?\n<\/p>\n<p>\nDavid Wilkerson, famed &quot;The Cross and the Switchblade&quot; protagonist in real life then, well respected as the preacher who turned whorehouses and gangs (ie. the gangster-turn-evangelist Nicky Cruz) of New York City around, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.christiantoday.com\/article\/teen.challenge.and.times.square.church.founder.dies.in.road.crash\/27907.htm\" target=\"_blank\">passed <\/a>just<a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/news\/religion\/2011-04-28-David_wilkerson_28_ST_N.htm?csp=34news&amp;utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+usatoday-NewsTopStories+%28News+-+Top+Stories%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" target=\"_blank\"> like that in a car crash<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nTime Square Church (based in an old theater house) megachurch while being non-denomination (I thought it was &quot;inter-denomination&quot;), is very charismatic in style: music-wise and having a prominent healing center in the basement. It is probably the only pentecostal type church I don't mind re-visiting, mainly because of how all of their pastors have to sit on the stage and listen during the sermon, instead of running around doing their own thing - a method towards good elder relationship, I presume.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>First thought across my mind: Why was he in Texas?
