Like the Pentacostal movement, 远志明 creatively concluded the word "船"
\nin his topic <<神州>>, as Noah's "一舟八口", and in
\n<<老子与圣经>> 老子 is God's prophet, is rather ridiculous. I
\nwould say he's read many chinese literatures, but his lack of
\nunderstanding is the result of what Peter would say in 2nd Peter 3:16
\n"...信中有些难明白的，那无学问、不坚固的人强解，如强解别的经书一样，就自取沉沦<\/b>。"<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

As a result, one can see Mr. Yuan's theological understanding is
\na mess. I can assure you he will not be able to find the relationship
\nbetween a just and righteous God and a merciful God. To him, if God is
\nas fierceful today as before, that would be mean.<\/p>\n

Secondly, Lao
\nZhi cannot be prophet of God because there's no mention of God in
\nDaoDeJin. Mr. Yuan cannot see the difference between common revelation
\n(things revealed to all) and special revelation (only to God's chosen
\nones).<\/p>\n

As for the word and other words mentioned by Mr. Yuan in
\nrelationship to Biblical accounts, I would have to first ask of the
\nsource of his discovery, and not just basing this on his own
\nimagination or if he ever claimed God spoke to him. If by creativity, I
\ncould link more chinese words to Biblical accounts than he did in
\n<<神州>>. But if they are not true, I would shame God. And
\nsince God is perfect, I would be in trouble. True, there are words that
\ncould link to Biblical accounts, but you do it with wisdom, not with
\nyour creative stupidity. For example the word "样", "不像样", is
\nphilosophically biblical.<\/p>\n

Obviously, as long as one's
\ncreativity can link anything to God regardless of the truth, Mr. Yuan
\nwould like to be in the picture. Like the Charismatic believers. They
\ndo not realize that by abandoning the truth, lack of careful studying
\nthe facts, they have already abandoned God. We must pray for them.
\nChrist said in Matthew 7:21-23, "not everyone calling me Lord shall
\nenter into the Kingdom of Heaven", these including those who've done
\nworks in Jesus' name, and He will say to them, "I never knew you,
\ndepart from me". Evil doesn't just mean hating God, it could cover
\nthose who think they love God as well.<\/p>\n

So we must always fear God, and not be trapped by our pride.<\/p>\n
