While I was on my way home from work around 10pm, I saw a few amigos fishing at the Bowling Green harbor. An approx. 30" blue fish on the ground caught my attention. I had to asked. It seems that this is a very good fishing spot, perhaps one of the best in NYC. <\/p>\n
This is what I could gather from Ghana, our friendly fisherman:<\/p>\n
Fishes: Striped Bass (30-40"), Blue Fish, snappers.<\/p>\n
Bait: Bunker. (I supposed one could try using live bait)<\/p>\n
Lights are not necessary.<\/p>\n
Lines: at least 30 pound strength.<\/p>\n
Others: Slider (If I have not mistakened, it's for the weight, allowing it to slide across the line) <\/p>\n
As many would know, Blue fish has strong jaw and sharp teeth, strong enough to cut nylon lines. Hence, steel lining is required at the end. <\/p>\n
Time: 7pm - 7am. (There are ships in the day time).<\/p>\n
