v. 5, I contrasted on what Jacob did for Joseph to what Elkanah did (gave double portion) to Hannah.<\/p>\n
v. 2:8-10: Known as the song of Hannah. The Jews made this a foundation of prayer. At v.10, \"horn\" is mentioned. I thought that it was an error like Moses' horns in Jerome's Latin translation in Exodus 34:29. But it would seem not be the case here. That horn is a symbol of strength.<\/p>\n
This time Rev. Bisgrove did a great expository preaching.<\/p>\n

Theme: Self-deception.<\/p>\n
Keller: Deut 7:7, is circular reasoning. God loved Israel because God loves Israel. This should be a good example to illustrate all arguments are circular at their foundations. A bridge to defend attack on Presuppositional Apologetics.<\/p>\n
v. 24: Keller: Contrasting Saul's repentance with David's. Same words. But with Saul, \"I was afraid of the men and so<\/strong><\/span>...\" he has demonstrated that he did not grasp the meaning of repentance. Hence, self-deception.
