The metformin I was prescribed messed with my innards so I couldn't take it. Metformin brings your sugar down, but then your pancreas works less. Eventually the sugar goes back up, so they increase the Merformin dose and the pancreas dies. I discovered that the issue was NOT the under-preforming of the pancreas, but insulin resistance.
