Sometimes new hard drives connected to USB enclosure won't show up in window explorer even after it's been detected. This is because it has not been initialized and formated right.<\/p>\n

To do that: Right click My Computer -> Manager -> Disk Management -> (in lower right corner) look for the new drive, be certain, and right click on it to initialize\/format. Wait until the formating is done. <\/p>\n
