\nWhen the majority churches make mention of Rev. David Chen's name,
\nit is popular within the circle of elders and deacons, that Rev. David
\nChen has committed adultery. For years, this has been haunting him and
\nhis ministry for the Lord.\n<\/p>\n
\nI do not believe these have sincerely
\nprayed for Rev. David Chen. They have shown signs of caring, yes, no
\ndoubt, but their sincerity is to be questioned. As for the other
\nchurches who wouldn't even consider Rev. David Chen's name in their
\nministry, that I cannot blame them for they are not my problem. Because
\nthis is not a matter of having sympathy and giving face when it comes
\nto serving God, it is a matter of privilege from God.\n<\/p>\n
\nAs for Rev.
\nDavid Chen's past, it has been something that has troubled me deeply,
\nsleepless nights, aching heart and tears. I have tried to learn what
\nactually happened in the past from his own mouth, but he tried to avoid
\nexplaining. For a non-Christian, it is natural not to want to remember
\nmistakes in the past or trying new resolutions to cover them; however,
\nwhen Rev. David Chen refused to discuss with me in detail, there could
\nonly mean 2 things:\n<\/p>\n
\n1. That he has not yet truly repented of it.\n<\/p>\n
\n2. That he thinks that I am not qualified to ask him this question.\n<\/p>\n
\nComparing
\nthese two, I would put number 2 as the most probable reason, since when
\nall odds are even, I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt.\n<\/p>\n
\nThe
\nreason I wish to get to the bottom of this is because after observing
\nhis serving and understanding him, I do not think the crime fits his
\nmotive. Yet, there was this huge gossips and the fact that he himself
\nadmitted of this behavior some 20 years ago and had went through
\ncounselling, etc.\n<\/p>\n
\nThis is also why I have angered myself against
\nChristian psychology today. I believe the office of psychiatry is the
\nsecond most irresponsible occupation in the world, after today's
\nmeteorology.\n<\/p>\n
\nPersonally, I do not think Rev. David Chen has
\ncommitted adultery at any time. His admitting so is more likely the
\nignorance of another greater matter. And since the other counsellors
\ncannot find out the cause due to lack of theological study, not knowing
\nthe true state of man before God, they prescribed a medicine as long as
