Chris Pratt's Evangelism

I'm impressed. Briefly listened through. Other than implying God designed you to be imperfect, Chris definitely done much better than most preachers in U.S.

He dared to touch on subjects (God & Prayer) in public media when most fame lover preachers would why away from it by talking just about love and happiness.

I believe by wits, he placed prayer in #8 and God in #9. Against this order, it will offend this media culture to shut their ears completely so quickly they will hear nothing.

Founder of a Church

Michael Young told me when we first met at a retreat, "I'm the founder of this church".

I didn't know him well then. But if I do, I would have asked: "How come you're still not a pastor? or teaching something at church?"

I told Rev. Lin about it, her response was only: Only Jesus is the founder.

I'm sure how Michael Young would respond: "Who cares, everyone goes to heaven anyway."

From this, it is clear, that nobody cares not even about milk, not to mention solid food, as I ponder upon Hebrews 5:11-6:10.

Now if I read 6:10, yes, God will not overlook good works. But true good works is associated with the love of his saints in his name. Not the love of reputation with his name.

Thus the founding of such church can only be a blessing of a location. Not of a fellowship. 可去可不去。 Like the cathedrals in Rome.

Alex Tseng vs. Michael Liu

So here it is, starting from one of the major dissents among those who were close to Pak Tong, when he introduced his new protege Michael Liu. Many troubled Tong, some tried to bring up certain other protege of their own (Rev. Lin with Alex) in hope that Dr. Tong would not consider Michael. All these, of course, were done inconspicuously.

Now it is clear, that Alex's not into any ministries as they would think. He's moving back and forth between theology and philosophy, between teaching and writing books, between colleges that he praised that would accept him; While Michael Liu has started a church. I'm not looking at how successful Michael Liu will be, but at least he has attempted it, that's what counts.

Enough said, time has proven the matter.

Come to think of David Tong, I would say, to lead a ministry, one must take the initiative, if he doesn't, for survival, he could only rely on degrees and inherited reputation which he certainly has that one more than Alex. Unlike Alex, David has the right direction, but initiative awaits.

Alex's failure at this became obvious when he saw reformed theology and running Gospel rally as a contradiction. He was invited to do a few before, but his attitude problem in apologetics with love thwarted him from that path. He may deny this, only because there are support (material) he cherishes still, from this early cause of his, from those who are not up to date with current news.

“奸诈”的来源

A strange dream I just had waking up. In the dream, I came across the etymology of the word 奸诈. This false idea appeared in Wikipedia that said that the words, in different characters though pronounced and meant the same, came from Greek myth where two mischievous Greek gods, one named Jian the other Zha, troubled mankind.

As I woke up, for I had trouble remember how these two characters are actually written and whether or not the dream was relevant in reality.

Artificial Intelligence vs. Humans

Watching the British TV series Humans prompted this question:

Is there any difference between men and machines?

I would say, men believes in miracle, machines do not.

Machines can mimic souls, intelligence and such, but a programmed trust in miracles requires a believe in God, which cannot be built in by creatures who are depraved in knowing God.

This miracle is not the Charismatics kind. It's not about winning lottery nor getting cured of cancer. This is the believe in nothing is impossible for God.

Dummy ACCET Ideology

First it was the IRS that changed my client's relationship with me from 1099 to W4. I'm not sure if they were trying to be "genius" or just following Obama's dumb policy of being "nice to the people".

Now, the ACCET examiner, Christine, I believe, also followed the same path - requiring my client (not quite my client now with W4, is it) to provide me with technology training. As if it's to my benefit.

Sure, it is to my benefit, but not the way they think. On top of reimbursement for the training, I also charge $250 per hour for the course. I bet those idiots from Obama administration can't figure out why they are not the smartest people in the world. They want to give gifts, I take, but I won't say thank you.

Capitalism trumps social fantasy!
