An old-west history professor goes back in time to the cowboy era with a future lady fan to kill a criminal from her time.
Update: That's Timestalkers (1987)
As for time travel movies, there's a neat and rather complete list.
A cop's death was faked so he could be trained to be some super vigilante in a what seems to be rather small organization who were all dead in the end except himself and his mysterious Korean kungfu teacher
Update: That's Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins (1985)
I remembered from time to time, an old classic cartoon, probably a movie, where a maybe-sorcerer chanting at the dragons in the sky to make them fall one by one. I could never find this, but The Flight of Dragons seem like a very close candidate. The other look-alike is Dungeons and Dragons.
For classic cartoons:
There's diaperman from The Mighty Heroes
MASK
Silver Hawks
Go-Bots
Turbo-Teen
Saber Rider
(There's one I've been trying to remember: It's very old. But appears either to be alien or futuristic. I remember this scene where people/aliens escape? in some cool looking pods, whether it is always in the introduction or one of the scene I am not sure, characters looks like those of Snorks, but I could be way off).
