Adobe Flash problem in Firefox, while no problem in IE or Chrome

It seems to have to do with the latest update of Flash. Maybe even Firefox. Because while working fine in Internet Explorer and Google Chrome, Flash player doesn't work in Firefox lately. Especially after a flash update.

I fixed the problem on my desktop but have forgotten to report it in my journal. Now, I have to research the whole thing online again for the same problem on my laptop.

There are several suggested, but I like the one by Tylerdowner:

Uninstall Flash player. Restart your pc. Then, download http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_plugin_32bit.exe and install it (I'm assuming you are running Windows). also make sure you are running Firefox 11.

Note: Use the uninstaller of flash player to uninstall, it is better that way.

The solution is basically to use Flash version 11.2.202 instead of 11.3.

    latest version of Firefox 13.0.1 works with latest version of flash 11.3.300.262

    Works on my fujitsu Lifebook p1620 but not the desktop. So I will use the older version of flash on desktop for now. I do not think it has to do with the type of computer, but most likely it is software related issue.

    I don't want to waste my time dealing with other people(the programmers at firefox & flash)'s problem right now.

    Flash on laptop fails to work again. Back to square one...the only solution, install early version of flash.

    Turning off protected mode works like a charm.

    To turn off:
    Edit (create) file mms.cfg to add a line:
    ProtectedMode=0
    in one of these folders:

    Windows 32bit: C:\windows\system32\macromed\flash

    Windows 64bit: C:\windows\syswow64\macromed\flash
