It is better to be Used by God in His Grace, than to be Used by God outside His Grace.
There are two kinds, who have been used by God outside of His grace:
1. Knowingly being outside of His Grace,
2. Denying being outside of His Grace.

Recalling the late Rev. David Chen's opposing remark:
Can God use (利用) people?
I would answer, Yes.
Because God is the creator. A creator can always use his creation. He has all the rights.
Is God's using good? Yes.
Because God's 利用 is always 利用; but our 利用 is sometimes 詐用 which is evil.
Thus, "being used by God outside of His Grace" stands against such accusation.
In response to the notion above one would apply:
I have learned silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet, strange, I am ungrateful to those teachers.
