But unlike saltwater fishing, freshwater fishing is not free. In this country you need license for everything. Marine fishing requires permit though it's free, but freshwater license is not free. And the annual fee is around $72.25 (includes bow hunting, etc.) or $22.50 (just fishing).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although, I just learned that there are at least 2 days a year in NJ<\/a> that allow freshwater fishing without permit\/license. And it may include all the day of those weeks as well. The site also has a link to this map app<\/a> that shows where and what to fish. I'm not crazy about this type of fishing and am being stingy about paying to fish, so I would just need to mark these dates every year to fish for free.
