But this is too broad for this topic.<\/p>\n<p>Those who understood only duty and not pleasure are essentially in err in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>It is not biblical (Westminster Catechism Q.1.): we are to enjoy God forever as well.<\/li>\n<li>It is legalistic: As long as I do it, I am better than those who didn't do.<\/li>\n<li>It leads to Uzzah's doctrine: Those who support shouldn't not be punished.<\/li>\n<li>It leads to jealousy: I did just as much, why he got more reward.<\/li>\n<li>It does not grow: The parable of 10 coins. I did what you asked, why am I at fault?<\/li>\n<li>It is a fake work: Those who truly love God would not walk in such counsel.<\/li>\n<li>It exhibits cowardice: I don't want to face anything more than my job description.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The list could go on, but i think I have listed all the major points.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I address this issue in contrast to doing ALSO for the joy, pleasure in the Lord.
