IPOD email checking problem

When email checking status stuck on "Checking for Mail...", just turn it off with the power button (top left for IPOD) by holding it for 3 seconds. Turn on again after a few seconds, solved. Source: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Google%20Mobile/thread?tid=030d40aede0488d2&hl=en
