As I visited the Bronx Zoo with my free "Museum On Us" pass last Saturday, I got locked in the Zoo because I stayed too long in there. There appears to be a "Bigger" entrance gate at the Bronx River Gate (First time I used this gate for exit), and I missed it because I was so curious about this very beautiful Mitsubishi Riverwalk (It has waterfalls, well, a Dam actually), which I have mistaken for a public park. This riverwalk is actually part of the Zoo. Zoo closed at 5:30pm, I thought I was already out by then. After I read the Bible from my laptop in the supposedly public park until nearly 9pm, I walked to this huge locked gate and realized what's going on.
It's one thing to be locked up with fellow humans, but another to be caged with animals. I called 911. Police came, since they didn't have the keys, they suggested that I climbed out over the gate, which wasn't that hard but I didn't want to do it without any witnesses before. Midway of climbing, the zoo security came, unlocked, let me out. Very embarrassing indeed.
