The Use of "Allah" in Malaysia

When reading the news regarding a church's appeal to use the word "Allah", I thought about the origin of the word "Allah", which was already used by Christians before Mohammed of the 7th century.

I
also recollected being asked by other Christians here regarding the
religious situation in Malaysia. While examining their emotional
responses, it gets me thinking of the religious freedom in America.

No
doubt, one can easily understand how freedom of religion is better.
Nonetheless, one has to question the extend of such freedom and the use
of it. It is normal for those living in the supposedly free worlds to
empathize with the persecuted ones, but it is a tougher decision to
choose whether to that this empathy to a level of being a witness for
Christ or to a level of hidden self-satisfaction and pride which will
lead to jealousy especially should the roles be reversed. And the result of the latter level has already seen its days, especially in America where many Christians are not biblically well trained, falling for emotional decisions rather than the truth, more lazy, etc. And as if the more conservative they appear to be, the more jealousy they have towards those who are "outsiders" to them and have acheived success.
