Great talk. The two who talked at first were declaring how good work from home is until David finally interjected. A few notes:
David:
Hopefully this is a temporary thing, not normal. It's not just about effectiveness/productivity.
School employees should come in - because we didn't reduce the tuition, they paid for the cost of all these. Work from home is expensive. Also cannot be responsible for quality: background noise at home, internet connectivity at home, cock crows, piano sounds, timing in communication, etc.
How's the children during lockdown? Lockdown is not normal, it's for depressed people. Japan now has more suicide number than Covid deaths.
Others: Sitting long hours in front of screen, reading scripts in learning is not good.
David:
Differences in having a body. It's important to have locations to move from and to. It's important to distinguish God's house and my house? (I think that's a topic worth investigating, if it's an intellectual distinction, good; if it's a "me/our time" thing, bad).
I think this also brings to question about how virtual things can be? real vs. fake. i.e. The Matrix.
A good point David brought: Why would Christ come in flesh and be crucified, if virtual is sufficient?
Yuval Noah Harari's Homo Deus. David: Should be Deus Homo - God to man. And the important of having a process (i.e. Christ came, crucified, etc.)
Pdt. Budi Sutrisno: Reliance on God: What did Israel do for work after departing Egypt? Having to move around, they cannot have their own plan. They must depend their very livelihood on God.
