There are preachers, there are teachers, there are normal workers/servants, there are family makers, there are students, researchers, etc., all of which are unlike the ranking system of the world. However, there are authorities given to each and it is a sin to mistook these authorities as desire of power.
The second sin is to mix these positions unwisely in a person or be involve in anyway pertaining to this issue.
I have come to this entry after thinking on a recent event. Some people love to show how they support ministries or evangelists, but they lack the proper attitude towards God's works. For example, there are many who love to push others in a form of encouragement, then why is such enthusiasm lacking in applying to themselves? More over, for those who would do every conceivable self-creditable "support" but lifting their own finger, I wonder, what would happen to them when the persecution actually comes to them, judging from the way of their righteousness - (even as minor as having email signature concerning privacy/copyright, hyperparanoia concerning pictures being taken, etc.)
What then, but to pray and serve humbly in church. Leave the real decisions to proper offices. Everyone, is any office, should know the calling and gift given them and respond contently.
Of course, I have no interest in dealing with these chickens, however, if they are persistent to be in my way thinking that their enthusiasms worth something to me, I may eventually have to say "Get thee behind me, Satan!".
I fear sometimes that my servitude would offend some. But, carefully, if my righteousness exceeds the righeousness of these, I need not be afraid. So may God strengthen me. Soli Deo Gloria. Deliver me in Thy Righteousness!
