On Judging Others

"Acknoledging someone's weakness" and "looking down on someone" aren't necessarily the same thing.

But "refusing to recognize someone's character" and "looking down on someone" are always the same thing.

Inevitably, wisdom is a necessity for either case. Those who seek not diligently, will stray away from God's path.

As for those who even refuse to comment on someone's strength, then they are living in their own selfish world and are as proud as the Pharisees, who couldn't accept the righteousness and holiness of the Son of Man and committed jealousy.

One Response to On Judging Others

The whole idea that one should not judge others is as ridiculous as the idea that one should not reveal who one votes for due to privacy.

I said privacy, because the come back might be "But I don't want to influence how others vote". I could simply reply: Fine, but may I know who you voted for after the election?

See the idea one does not want to reveal one's vote out of privacy is simply hypocritically concealing the judgment one makes for and against one and the other.

Of course, there are some smarty pants who think they would not need to vote at all. The only good way of looking at it is that one actually judges all candidates so negatively that one just cannot decide on the better candidate. Otherwise it is either a nonchalant attitude, which is worse, or cowardice. The only solution for such cowardice is to give up one's citizenship, which entails the responsibility to be "in the game".
