Familiar Praise by Mary Kay Beall

Sang the song "How great the love" by Mary Kay Beall with choir yesterday. Even the first time I sang it during the first rehearsal, it reminded me of a piece (slow movement part of Javert's suicide soliloquy) by Claude-Michel Schönberg in Les Miserables.

Given their years of compositions, 1980 & 1989 respectively, I wonder how Mary Kay got her "inspiration".
