TMJ - Find Cure

Temporomandibular Joint Disorder

I believe I have what is called a TMJ syndrome. Noted by my "free" chiropractor from craigslist years ago as "glass jaw". I searched and couldn't find anything in the vocabulary of "glass jaw". However, TMJ seems to closest description of my problem.

There's isn't much pain. If there is, it's very temporary. The main problem is I cannot open or close my mouth in a straight line, as I could sense the clicking or snapping on the left side of my jaw joint.

I believe it also affect my inner throat in the pertaining area as if there's some obstacle (maybe the disk between the jaw and skull) causing me wanting to cough sometimes. Sometimes, pressing certain point in that area outside the jaw could agitate this effect, but just sometimes.

Diagnose: I think the left disk is dislocated.

Cause: Uncertain, but I think it's because I chewed too hard (love chewing cartilage-soft bones).

Solution: More research needed. Moving this from Vocabularies category to Projects. Stop chewing softbones, some bones are just not meant to be chewed. Although it is not yet problematic, I'm afraid if I do not attend to it, it would have severe impact in the future.
