No Greater Love

John 15:13  Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

The commission of the destroyer USS Jason Dunham yesterday reminded me of the Lord's word. Jason Dunham, Nov 10 1981 - Apr 22 2004,  put his body over a grenade to save at least two lives of his buddies. Though not the only case of such sacrifice, it got me thinking about the goings of the minds of these heroes.

Though, according to wikipedia, it is recommended to place a helmet directly over the grenade and lie on it. A helmet like that of a modern PASGT helmet. Though survival is slime, like in Jason's case, it is still wise choice, as Jack Lucas survived with 200 pieces of shrapnel in his body after using a steel M1 Helmet.
