The Contribution of the Reformation

One chief work of the reformation movement back then (not now), is the discernment of both good and evil from a single action.

Such as from Jacob's deceptive action: false testimony (sin), desire of birthright (righteousness).

Something that is usually betrayed by the simpletons. So they either make evil that which is good; or make good that which is evil.
