The Manhattan L'Abri

Just last Friday, I went to my first Udo/Deborah Middlemann open home fellowship.

I've read up on the Schaeffer case a little bit. They told me L'Abri has gone astray in major doctrine. I could tell. It seems there's the Europian factor of Christianity in all of them today. Distanting themselves from the so called 'Evangelicals' of today. Treating the Gospel mandate and Cultural mandate as one and the same. Although, I sensed Udo was keen on evangelical gospel.

I find great passion for The Schaeffer foundation when Prof. Udo stood up for a fair treatment on the 10 million illegal immigrants in this country. Hey, at least some theologians are giving their opinion on controversial topics, which is more than I could say for some coward preachers who while being great and respected even by me, hides behind Romans 13.

Lastly, there were mentioned of how when you hired, trained, prepared room and board, and provided air tickets for someone to provide temporary homecare for an elderly in Switzerland...and she called at the last minute saying she couldn't make it, thus breaking the commitment before it even started and say "I'll pray you'll get someone". I interrupted: "Tell her to pray for someone who wouldn't do that!" And everyone broke into laughters.

Although, I feel afraid to ask: "was she an oriental?"
