I received a letter from Family Radio today, saying they are very sorry for the May 21st prediction of Christ's return. Even admitting how the others were right quoting "no man knows the hour..."
When one asked me in my sunday school class when the news began, if May 21st rapture is going to happen, I said, I can guarantee you that it will not happen.
I was going to commend their letter but after a while, I realized their motive may not be so pure. Because the letter came with request card and envelope for offering/donation/gifts. As well as stating how their "prophesy" actually caused more people to read the Bible (despite the fact that he also pointed out that yet it is still no excuse for them and that tremble before God).
Family Radio was a big thing for me when I was in Malaysia. Their worldwide broadcast was heard from my room. Since it is the only "Christian" radio, with good hymns, I cherished it. I could say more, but this is not why I write this.
I will not give at this moment. I do not think they should be asking for money about doing their ministry at this time. Should they truly tremble, they should treat themselves as their own enemies, and repent truly. That means examine other errors such as "Don't go to church, just listen to Family Radio and stay Christian", etc.
But I will be watching, for I truly want to 'pay my debt' to them. I'm not sitting around doing nothing, so I'll be writing Mr. Camping a letter, a snail mail letter. I'll do it in the morning.
