Debunked: King's Gambit (1.e4 e5 2.f4 exf4) presumably Solved

Rybka programmer, IM Vasik Rajlich, has solved this opening, scorned by GMs such as Bobby Fischer.

Since the total possible moves from this opening is still beyond our technology today, the solution is theoretical within very very slight error, using 3000 parallel processors.

Conclusion: White cannot win. The only move to draw for White is 3. Be2.

Looks like the Encyclopedia of Chess Openings has to scrub this opening off the volumes, or it would need a separate sets just on this opening.

Update 7/15/2014: Actually, even chessbase admitted that it was a joke for April Fools. Shame on you Chessbase. One needs not take your articles seriously anymore, better late news than fake ones.
