Everyone is judgmental. There is no escaping that. The problems are whether or not we judge rightly, and whether or not we dare to be judged ourselves.

To say that Matthew 7:1 commands us to stop judging. Then I must ask, what do we do with the beam and the mote in our eyes? Since without judgment, we cannot tell if they are good or not for our eyes. Should we just sit around with our beams and motes?
A non-judgmental judgment is a non-loving love act of the unloving in the hope for inculpable culpable desires.
For an interpretation of Matthew 7:1, I would say it this way:
Don't judge others thinking that you are the only one who can judge, so that others will not judge you likewise. But Christ puts it well in verse 1 (Because it is already established that it does not mean "Judge not, that ye be not judged as a sinner"), followed by His elaboration.
