It always awes me, that despite American "superiority", the are so many young GIs committing suicide.
I will say one thing about it:
As long as military chaplains are not willing to sacrifice themselves in the service of God and men, meaning seeing it only as a job, a mean to feed and build their families, this kind of suicide problem is never uncommon.
