My explanation of E=MC^2

When something is moving at a speed of light, it is energy. So, light in a way, is energy. When you listen to the radio, it is picking up radio waves from the radio broadcasting station. Radio waves are also energy. They all travel at the speed of light, approximately 300,000 km/s.

So, an object, a physical object, or in physics, we call it 'matter', can be converted into energy if it's travelling at light speed. When something is moving, at any speed, it is exserting energy already, we call it "Kinetic Energy". The formula for kinetic energy is 1/2 times Mass times square of Velocity (its speed).

So it's:

1/2 M V^2

So when the object is travelling at light speed...it's:

1/2 M C^2

But when the object/matter is travelling at light speed, it's not matter anymore, it's like radio waves, energy.
So, since it's still an object, we would have to calculate it's energy in a still state. So we double its kinetic energy. Why? because new kinetic energy is used to cancel out the first kinetic energy, for example: If I push a car forward with my superhuman power, the car would move forward; and at the same time, Vanessa also pushes the car backward from the front end of the car against me with the exact same superhuman power, the car would not move at all because we both pushing the car with the same strength from opposite direction. So the total strength required for the car to be still would be the my strength plus Vanessa's strength.

So the double of the kinetic energy of a matter moving at light speed just happens to be:

1/2 M C^2 + 1/2 M C^2 = M C^2

Thus, it is explained.
