Dr. James White vs. Bill Shishko on Infant Baptism

It is interesting to note that Dr. Shishko, of the OPC, pastors a church in New York, Franklin Square on Long Island. If it were a few years ago, I would have taken the opportunity to attend a service there.

Perhaps this sheds more light than the debate between MacArthur and Sproul. Nonetheless, as I thought about Rev. Lin's past rejection of having Sproul's DVD on infant baptism, claiming that it raises confusion, I have come to be sceptical of her true motive (which I shall move to another section of my journal)

Good debate. My conclusion on the debate is simply this:
The paedobaptists champion the standard of "innocent until proven guilty"; while the credobaptists champion the standard of "guilty until proven innocent".
As such, it is as much likely in tendency for the presbyterians to intentionally admit false believers as for the baptists to discriminate foreigners especially those who disagree with their belief.

I hold the paedobaptist's view, thus, I shall add that this view promotes mutual trust between the missionary and the field before God; while the credobaptist's view, promotes mutual trust mainly among the humans, should they extend that trust under the grace of God, they must inevitably borrow, admittingly or not, from the paedobaptist's view)

Dr. White argued that circumcision is accomplished now by regeneration. That is a stretch. As regeneration is not a physical sacrament.

My last conclusion is: discipleship begins at conception. Even a mother could sing to the babe in the womb. Singing Godly hymns. Thus, this is a stronger stand against abortion. A mother's own discipleship becomes the cause of the newborn's discipleship.
