Learning from the Best

There are two ways we can choose to look at those who are better than us.

1. We strive to learn from them, better ourselves with our best efforts.

2. We categorize them, placing ourselves in our own new category.

Unfortunately, the second approach is the fruit of jealousy and pride, masked in hypocrisy. For it assumes first of all, there can be categories, thereby using such to escape the responsibility God bestowed upon us to achieve perfection in Christ.

We should try our best efforts to better ourselves, discipline ourselves, and accept our individual limitations, which vary in measures.
