Non-Denomination Christians = Copycat Denomination Christians

Like those who claim to be of Christ in 1st Corinthians 1:12, the so called "non-denomination" denomination consider themselves better for not as judgmental as other denominations. They believe that their "denomination" is freer than other denominations because they are not restricted to any particular denominations.

Every denomination is doing its best to serve God with our limited human understanding. Yet, different denominations strive to achieve the same goal. Just like different countries working together for a better planet. As Dr. Tong puts it, just as the 12 tribes of Israel, but we are all one family in God's kingdom. There will be no such denominations in the kingdom of God. For we are all of God's kingdom.

Hence, at this time, it is impossible to have no denominations for God's word is so rich and abundant. Too marvelous for our human minds to fully comprehend. We could only humbly learn and follow God. It is the same lesson for each denomination.

If someone says that because sometimes differences in denominations cause quarrels, therefore he believes that his "non-denomination" denomination doesn't like factions and divisions (Galatians 5:20), then he must also consider again, that we also do not like factions and divisions,  as Paul says: ...If any man trusteth in himself that he is Christ’s, let him consider this again with himself, that, even as he is Christ’s, so also are we. (2Corinthians 10:7).  Just because sometimes married couples quarrel doesn't mean that there should be a society in this world without marriages.

In fact, the concept of non-denomination among other denominations is foolish. For it merely steals doctrines selectively from different denominations to be considered as its own while claiming that its not anybody's doctrines or that it is God's doctrines. Hence, I call it: Copycat Denomination or Plagiarized Denomination.

One Response to Non-Denomination Christians = Copycat Denomination Christians

  1. Tim says:

    There is a better analogy.
It is like different ethnic groups, different races of people.
Claiming non-denominational is like saying, hey, look the white oppresses the blacks, the Japanese, the Chinese, the orientals, etc...all these discrimination...what race am I? I am of no race, I'm not Chinese, I am not Caucasian, Non-Racial, Non-Ethnic, I belong the Kingdom. So I am forming a new ethnic group, it's called the non-ethnic group, non-racial group.
