Ah a paradoxical question.
All christians are called by God to be witness of Christ.
There is a special kind of calling for all full-time servants of God. And this calling is not for all christians.
To study, is to enhance knowledge.
The first schools in our history is to gather all those who wish to learn together, having a suitable learning environment.
Now, people have valued certificate over knowledge. Therefore, they say going to school is to get a job, going to school is to be famous, going to school is to make someone proud, etc. How sad. All of these can be the effects of going to school, but not the reasons for going to school.
1. You must be called to study the Bible, WRONG.
2. You must be called to be a full-time servant of God, RIGHT.
There's no need to be called to go to seminary school. But I believe that all those who go to seminary schools must be christians. Just like PhD in Physics is for those who are already well grounded in fundamental physics.
Now the paradoxical side, if you have graduated with all these knowledge of theology, what are you going to do with it?
