Reading Christian Today's article on Christians being killed in Iraq, my heartache goes not to the martyrs, some for the killers, but most of all, to the sympathizer-wannabes.
It is as if facing persecution for the truth is wrong. Why would these people go there if they want an autonomous region in Nineveh Plains? Why not just conquer the whole country?
Are they not prepared when they go in? Why pay the ransom? Perhaps some of them should have stayed at home preaching to their families instead. To say that God has not called them would make me sound overreacting; Nonetheless, I surely cannot deny that there are those whom God has not called but went in.
