The qualification is determined by God, not by men or self desire. Yesterday, I heard a guest pastor sharing about the condition of Christianity in China: very chaotic, self-proclaimed preachers without theological backgrounds, having financial or popularity motives, etc.
It is something we need to pray for. Nonetheless, by concluding that everyone should stay at their current working status unless obtained some church's support financially in order to prove God's calling, I think this pastor is not that smart, and he dared to brag about himself being formerly a lawyer.
