Journal of the Week

10/6/2023 Using people's photos for free. I personally don't care about Western privacy law on using faces of others as long as they were taken in public. But since we must abide local laws, here's a site for it: https://userstock.io/

“lán” (咱 = Kita) and “guán” (阮 = Kami) in Taiwanese 閩南主禱文 the Lord's Prayer. Interesting take from Alex on FB. He then went on to distinguish the Cartesian "I AM" from "triune I AM". The former is mere substantial, while the latter is more relational, especially in expounding the imago dei. To fail at getting this, is the result of progressive autonomous individualism, according to Dr. Tseng.

10/2/2023 Animated Background for Websites.

Mark Zuckerberg's Interview in virtual reality with photorealistic avatars, which is impressive.

9/30/2023 Flooding in NYC these past few days. Complained also by some staffs at NYGC.

9/29/2023 On Time Management: The Pomodoro Technique
Based on 25-minute stretches of focused work broken by five-minute breaks. Longer breaks, typically 15 to 30 minutes, are taken after four consecutive work intervals. Each work interval is called a pomodoro, the Italian word for tomato (plural: pomodori)

It's something I must have contemplated before before hearing this method, but did not bother to look into because I feel I need my long train of thoughts in my thinking process often times. However, I'm posting this here to note its existence.

9/28/2023 Color Schemes - Interesting illustrations of different color schemes for different goals specifically for web pages.

Websites such as Indeed, StackExchange, etc. are blocking GPT's A.I. web crawlers. But unless the federal court is enforcing something, what's the prevent GPT's crawlers to go anonymous? This is probably an American/Western fad. This would certainly be an interesting battle of copyright matters. The balance of whether internet free information is public or not. I think it will self collapse, this American notion of self-righteousness in copyright matters, because it's grounded in greed.

A while ago, came across a few Chinese websites listing Reformed speakers invited to Chinese church, talking about 寓意解經, or just about Reformed materials, and Chinese Reformed related videos.

9/27/2023 Want to know keyboard shortcuts/hotkeys for popular designer apps such as Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.

Another list from TLDR of recommended AI tools for meeting summaries, data enrichment, etc:

The team at Factors.AI volunteered to organize the list into an Airtable with details on all the things including pricing, if you have to talk to a human to buy it, # of G2 reviews and more.

HERE ARE 7 OF MY FAVORITES FROM THE LIST OF 50
Jitter - Animate your Figma designs really easily with very little skill needed. I discovered this one from your recommendations

Databar.ai - Data enrichment for anything you can think of in spreadsheet format. Enrich your data, scrape the web, and run complex data flows

Twine AI - Actually really good AI-meeting summaries that understand all my marketing jargon

Akkio - I personally haven’t tried this because we don’t need a BI tool at MKT1 (yet?), but looks amazing. Lets you “chat with your data”.

Byword - My favorite generative AI tool for for drafts of marketing content--plus it integrates well with Webflow

WithSURFACE.com - Been looking for a “conversion flow in a box” type tool and was recently sent this by a former teammate. If you want to build better demo request & sign up flows, check this out. They are in very early days

Toolflow.ai - This is in alpha right now but is about to blow your minds and make all your workflows easier. Join the waitlist and try it as soon as it’s available. (MKT1 Capital is an investor in this, but I invested b/c I was blown away)

Hopefully, when you are looking for a tool to augment your marketing workflow you can refer to this list and not waste your time trying a million things things that don’t cut it.
