Promoting discipline, hard work, etc. are good. But it shouldn't be done using others' example which would eventually result in "sharing" burden.
Everyone's calling is independent. As for working together, it is about witness, not burden sharing. Though it may carry some psychological effect in that department, this temptation should be closely watched.
