12/04/2024 So I stopped by the Building Department of South Amboy today just right before work. Because the train's running 30+ mins late, I get to do this. I had to inquire about the building codes for Solar Panels installation. Unfortunately, the secretary's (some old lady) answer was simply: "I'm just a secretary here, I don't know anything, sir. Maybe check the websites." What a joke!!!
The next step of business is to call JCP&L about tying solar energy into the grid or not.
Apparently there's on-peak and off-peak rate for electric bills. So it's wise to do laundry at night 8pm-8am in case of JCP&L/FirstEnergy according to Google AI:

The issues of Social Security drainage by 2033. Graham Stephan gave the explanation. Noting interestingly that Ida May Fuller, first recipient of the Social Security Benefit retirement checks in 1940 (based on the average lifespan of 58 in the 1930s), lived to be 100 years old in 1975 and thus collecting $22,888.92 in SS benefits, despite only paying $24.75 total for the 3 years of her working taxes under the new program.
The SS program is based on paying forward to older generation and on a predicted average lifespan. So it would fail when
1. the predicted average lifespan is wrong (shorter than reality),
2. the older generations outnumbered younger generations exponentially.
So what will happen:
- Social Security Benefits retirement age may be raised (i.e. from 67 to 72)
- Higher taxes
- Reduction of SS Benefits (i.e. to 21-25%)
