Motionik is great for screen recording. It a small program that tracks and record your mouse and its vicinity in the screen. Free version is just a watermark. I will consider if I should pay $60 for it (or 40% discount from EDU, lifetime access) later, but definitely not $30/yr for it. Price is still very steep, so I told the programmer.
Someone else compiled his experience list with screen recorders:
Actually usable:
- Bandicam
- OBS (if you’re willing to learn it)
- Xbox Game Bar / QuickTime
Usable with caveats:
- Camtasia (if you need editing)
- ShareX (if you’re technical and patient)
- ShadowPlay (if you’re gaming only)
Skip unless desperate:
- Loom
- FlashBack
- Screencast-O-Matic
- Debut
- Anything that runs in your browser
