I've finally found the puzzle called 'the Brain' at the AMNH.
It's said to be an inspiration from Herodotus' mythological Atlantis' mysterious computer. Leading to the Gray's binary system which results in this puzzle.
I first saw it in Arkansas. I believed I have once found it on the web a few years back but had forgotten what and where it is until my recent visit to the museum.
I can open or close it in about 30 seconds each.
