Sometimes I think that most old loyal members of the Reformed churches in America joined RCA churches not because of the key ingredient of the reformation movement, but as a closest way for them to cherish their 'traditional inheritance' while free of the Roman Catholic or the pope's supervision.
So in the end, they cannot admit the great commission as preaching the Gospel to strangers but seek after social gospel instead.
