I believe it is normal for anyone, even children, to not have perfect vision, even slightly imperfect due to strain from time to time. But it is not wise to encourage wearing glasses and parents need to do more research than just listening to doctors. It is my opinion that some, if not most, optometrists would prescribe glasses anyway to everyone who steps into the clinic. After all, who's going to stop them? Ethics? Wisdom? Some took medical school to seek further advancement, most do it for money without any desire for any breakthrough.
