"I'm being nice to you, I'm being polite to you...no, not because I wish you to be polite and nice like me, but in fact, I demand your respect towards me - because otherwise, I will turn my back on you". Such is many of the Chinese's way of sociology.
That is a breach of Acts 10:34, as well as a perversion of Matthew 7:12 (do unto others).
