On the Switching of Church: From CCCNY to Redeemer

This is intended for a dialogue. To discuss on the effect and choice of the action.

It has been long decided, I would say even at the beginning of my criticism on CCCNY, that should I get married here and settle here, I must not stay at this church. Otherwise, it is perfectly fine to stay.

The main reason being, I would bear the burden of moving those under my care and responsibility out of the way of stumbling blocks. Putting ourselves in the storm is good, but not stumbling blocks, never.

If it were just myself, then I could manage.

But on the other hand, this is not a move of despise, but that of drawing a fine line, between whom I must associate with in Christ, in testimony to those around me. That if one should use straws to build a house, must I live in it? Or should I be called an outcast or irresponsible if I do not co-operate? So let them prove themselves. They couldn't drag me while I live among them, so surely I will not leg them drag my family into their foolishness.

No, not despise, but merely an observation of the truth. Not despise, for I wish to see them change. So that means, I could lay a few conditions, if not just one, to show my point. As I did, CCCGC, when I told Hsu-An that I would stay, if they preach the Gospel (Meaning when I left, it was because they preach not the Gospel, but merely a social club with a religious sign).

So what am I to do with this CCCNY. I know it is getting tougher. But as did the flame harms not the bush, I shall fear nothing against all wicked oppression.

After today's fellowship, my resolve is clear, though maybe hard to present, especially before Rev. Lin, as she is the type that would probably use all cunning lies to turn the whole world against you, if you say a single negative thing about her. As for Lyna, in her confused state, it may be as talking to a wall.

But the resolution is this: That I would stay at CCCNY, if Rev. Lin and Lyna could be of the same mind in the Lord, having fellowship and speak to one another. As Paul beseeched Euodias and Syntyche. And as long as that, would I and my family stay.

Although I must also be aware, the many of CCCNY, are unlike those leading CCGCLI, that they would not care if anyone stays or not. They just wanted to be left alone, without any sense of serious responsibility. As long as they mind their own businesses and others others', no desire to be living sacrifices (as they might deem Paul's urge in Romans 12:1 as a fool's errand).

Below shall be the dialogue of the decision making...

Yes, the pastor and others have shown great interest in "socializing" with me. Everyone at his/her own level of "profession".

I have seen that this church is in serious lacking of teachers. That's why I was immediately "asked" to teach not long after I attend (not join) this church.

However, the leadership also does not wish to admit such poverty, hence they rejected another (whom they cannot "steal" credit from since this other person is involved externally by far away recommendation).

If they do not welcome him, they certainly do not welcome me. All flattery is just disgusting.

My work(s) for CCCNY is that of evangelical inspiration, not ecclesiological one.

The future of CCCNY is very predictable as of now and it is not looking good.
Nevertheless, I do pray for this church. I pray for her next generation. I pray for the next generation of her neighborhood. That God's glory will shine in them. This is the focus of my prayer.

If the current leadership of the church turn around and harvest the zeal to preach the gospel, good for them, God's glory is proclaimed and will be proclaimed. If they do not change their old ways, shame on them, God's glory will still be proclaimed, but these will either accept their shame or suffer eternal rebellion against God. My limited prayer is only for their change and mostly for the next generation.
