We know that God will reward those who seek after Him (Heb 11:6),
But we must also recognize that all of these is actually still to the glory of God.
The design of prosperity theology seems to focus on glory to oneself. Perhaps mentioning God's glory, but trying to avoid it, because $$$ is actually the main focus yet calling it without God's glory would be less "Amen", So they tried to walk the fine line between God and mammon but paying attention to the mammon side.
It's as if the cross is not painted gold, they would not carry it. To them, if one is willing to carry the cross, the cross would turn into gold, and perhaps they would carry it with a truck and say see: I'm carrying the cross.
We Christians must be able to face hardship for the Lord, not focus on prosperity. If we talk about prosperity, it is the eternal one that we shall obtain in the glory of our Lord.
